Fairmont to mark new year with Windsor opening
The highly anticipated Fairmont Windsor Park, a luxury scheme boasting one of the UK’s finest spa retreats, is set to welcome its very first guests in January 2022.
This brand-new hotel will reflect the area’s heritage and grandeur while focusing on wellness.
A new countryside retreat
Fairmont’s country-house hotel set alongside the 4,800-acre Windsor Great Park will contain 200 guestrooms and suites, including a Signature Royal Suite, along with a collection of culinary concepts and a state-of-the-art spa. Due to launch on 1 January 2022, Fairmont Windsor Park is ideally located within easy reach of Heathrow Airport and central London.
“We wanted to create a sanctuary for those who wish to escape the stresses of modern-day life and provide an intimate space for families, friends and couples alike to reconnect after another challenging year,” said Surinder Arora, founder and chairman of Arora Group. “We can’t wait to welcome guests both from the UK and overseas who are looking forward to travelling again and enjoying luxury hospitality.”
Wellness and gastronomy
The onsite Fairmont Spa & Wellness is designed to offer guests a transformative experience, with amenities including the UK’s first multi-person cryotherapy chamber, a hammam, a 20 m indoor pool, a Himalayan salt room, a courtyard hydrotherapy vitality pool and a Japanese Ashiyu foot ritual bath, as well as 18 treatment rooms. They’ll also benefit from bespoke health assessments using a highly advanced 4D body scanner, and a private VIP spa area known as the Salutaris Suite that’s only accessible through a private elevator from the Signature Royal Suite.
These facilities will be joined by The Facebible, providing aesthetic, skin rejuvenating and private GP services. Visitors will also be able to take advantage of sports performance coaching, a reformer pilates studio, tennis courts, a hair salon and a Truefitt & Hill barbershop.
There are to be seven restaurants and bars in total, from the farm-to-fork 1215 at Fairmont Windsor Park, and European and Middle Eastern fusion restaurant Moreish, to Schroder’s Botanicals Bar for gin cocktails, and Orchid Tea Room for afternoon tea. And The Library Club will provide an opulent setting for cocktails and whiskies by a renaissance-style fireplace.
Moreover, the hotel’s event space takes up a dedicated wing of the property, with no fewer than 15 meeting rooms, all benefitting from views of the grounds and access to the gardens. The property also possesses an 800 sq m ballroom, capable of hosting events for up to 700 people at a time.
