Fairmont has set out seven new hotel openings planned for the brand in 2025, as Accor’s luxury flag grows around the globe.
There will be four new country launches, in Japan, Spain, Thailand and Vietnam, as the brand adds new hotels to its current 88 strong portfolio. The brand’s first hotel in the Czech Republic will be reopening, as Fairmont Golden Prague. In India, a second property will launch with the opening in Udaipur, while the brand’s US presence will be augmented by the arrival of Fairmont New Orleans.
Coming to Spain
Opening early in 2025 will be the Fairmont La Hacienda Costa del Sol, a 311 room resort in southern Spain with wall to wall views of the Mediterranean. It will be shortly followed by the launch of Fairmont Golden Prague, which will see the revitalisation of a listed landmark in the heart of the city’s old town.
Set for a summer arrival is Fairmont Tokyo, the brand’s first Japanese hotel. On a waterfront site overlooking Tokyo Bay, the 217 room property will feature five restaurants, a sky banquet room and chapel, and spa with infinity pool. Also set for summer launches are Fairmont Udaipur, a 340 room hotel spread over a hillside location; and Fairmont New Orleans, which will see the inventive reuse of the former Bank of New Orleans building.
In Asia, Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit will be the brand’s first opening in Thailand, with a showcase that will provide integrated meetings and events spaces, as well as 419 hotel rooms. And in Vietnam, Fairmont Hanoi will be an urban resort in the heart of the city, with 241 rooms and six dining and bar outlets.
Looking further ahead, there are additional pipeline properties around the world. Fairmont Shenzhen Interlaken in China will have 312 rooms, joining Fairmont Xiamen as the brand grows its presence in China.
In Dubai, the Fairmont brand will be adding to its presence with the development of the Fairmont Residences Solara Tower Dubai, expected to be completed in 2027. Residents will enjoy views of the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountain.
In the US, Fairmont Heritage Place – The Cedars Hendersonville will be created from the expansion of a heritage property in North Carolina. Further US properties include the substantial 550 room Fairmont Orlando, expected to open in 2026, and the even larger Fairmont Manchester San Diego with 1,160 rooms, opening in 2027.
A rebrand in Switzerland
In Europe, a further Fairmont is set to launch before long in Switzerland. There, the former Kempinski Grand in Geneva is being rebranded as the Fairmont Grand Hotel Geneva.
Egypt will also be a major focus of expansion for Fairmont. In planning and development are Fairmont Fuka Bay, featuring a hotel and branded residences; a hotel and residences at Cairo Festival City; and the Fairmont Citystars Sharm El Sheikh Hotel & Residences. And already under construction is the 1,020 room Fairmont Sun Capital Hotel, which will be located close to the destination’s world famous pyramids.
