Extended Stay America announces eight-property BASK Development signing

Extended Stay America is teaming up with BASK Development to open eight new Extended Stay America Premier Suites sites throughout Florida, USA.

These newbuild properties will encompass apartment-style layouts and all the amenities guests need for longer stays.

A new partnership

Chicago-based real estate development and investment company, BASK Development, is expanding its hotel development and management portfolio with the signing of these eight properties.

“We are thrilled to partner with Extended Stay America to further grow their Premier Suites brand and bring more of these great assets to the Sunshine State,” said Bimal Doshi, managing partner at BASK Development.

“It is no secret that Florida is performing exceptionally well, with a robust tourism sector and growing population fueling a need for additional lodging accommodations. The extended stay segment was tried, tested, and thrived during covid and continues to deliver superior return on investment.

“Extended Stay America provides an exceptional value and uncompromising experience for consumers by providing long-term, flexible accommodations. As we mobilise our experienced, seasoned team and leverage our technology platform, we anticipate our investment in the extended segment to continue to grow.”

Enhanced accommodation offerings

Properties within the Extended Stay America Premier Suites collection, resulting from both newbuilds and renovations, all come with apartment-style accommodation. This accommodation features fully equipped kitchens, space for working and dining, free in-room wi-fi and premium cable.

Guests at these new properties will be able to make use of onsite laundry facilities, an enhanced breakfast offering and upgraded design elements like larger TVs, increased storage space and a signature bedding package.

Commenting on the new signing, Mark Williams, MD of franchise development for Extended Stay America, said: “We are excited to welcome BASK Development as a new owner of Extended Stay Premier Suites brands. Franchising continues to play a large part in Extended Stay America’s development strategy, and we look forward to working with all of our current and prospective owners to continue growing all of our brands throughout the United States.”

There are currently 36 Extended Stay America Premier Suites open and operating throughout the United States.
