Experimental Group has announced its plans to open the new Experimental Chalet Val D’Isère in the French ski resort at the end of the year.

The December-opening chalet hotel will join Experimental Group’s collection of properties also found in the Cotswolds, Biarritz and Ibiza among other destinations.

Entry to the French Alps

On opening in December 2024, Experimental Chalet Val D’Isère will welcome its first guests into a luxurious space, comprising inviting culinary and wellness areas, at the heart of Val d’Isère village.

“After the Experimental Chalet Verbier, we wanted an establishment in the French Alps,” said Pierre-Charles Cros, co-founding partner of the Experimental Group.

“Very close to the slopes, and at the same time in the centre of the resort whose atmosphere we really like, we found the ideal location for the Experimental Chalet Val d’Isère.”

An Alpine retreat

This ski hotel, positioned at an altitude of 1,850m, will showcase the design concept of longtime collaborator with Experimental Group, the interior designer Dorothée Meilichzon.

The hotel’s 110 beautifully designed rooms with Alpine views will be joined by two restaurants, a stylish bar, inviting swimming pool and rejuvenating spa.

With its location amid the Solaise massif, and the village providing access to the renowned Espace Killy ski area, Val d’Isère attracts skiers from across the world.
