Ennismore, Accor's lifestyle hotel division, has signed a new hotel in Oslo, Norway for its Hoxton brand, and confirmed a late 2024 opening for its Delano branded property in Dubai.

Ennismore, the lifestyle hotel division of the French Accor group, has revealed new signings as it continues to grow its portfolio of brands internationally.

An addition in Oslo, Norway is the first Scandinavian destination for its Hoxton brand, announced at the end of June 2024. The new build is part of a larger revitalisation of the Hammserborg district of the city, and will be developed by AB Invest and Moller Eiendom, for an opening planned in 2027.

The Hoxton, Oslo will have 144 rooms, with its style designed by a Ennismore’s in-house teams. AIME Studios will create the interiors of the hotel including a homely, open planned reception and lobby area, creating a great place to be, or to meet friends or business associates. And for those looking for great food and drink, Ennismore’s Carte Blanched studio will be creating three unique refreshment outlets including an all-day dining restaurant and cocktail bar.

The Norwegian project joins a growing pipeline of Hoxton hotels. This year has already seen an opening in Vienna, to be joined later in the year by the 129 room Hoxton Dublin, and Hoxton Edinburgh. Hoxton Florence and Hamburg are also in the works, with the Hamburg hotel being a rebranding of the city’s Sofitel hotel.

The addition of Hoxton to the hotel offering in Oslo reflects a change in attitude among the Norwegians, said Anders Buchardt of AB Invest: “In recent years, we’ve witnessed a shift among Norwegians, as they bring home the hotel habits acquired during their travels abroad. They are looking for great food, a unique atmosphere, and a memorable experience. As the Norwegian hotel market evolves, we eagerly embraced the opportunity to introduce Hoxton to Norway.”

And in Dubai, Ennismore will launch a hotel under its Delano brand, opening in October 2024. The property at Bluewaters Dubai is being completed by Dubai Holding, the result of a partnership agreement signed in 2023. It will feature 167 rooms, plus 84 suites and a five bedroom penthouse. The hotel will feature a seafront pool for swimming, or simply gathering to be seen.
Delano has its roots in Miami, where the brand launched in 1995, has recently seen investment backing by Cain International, which is partnering with Ennismore to build Delano out globally. Already in development are sites in Cartagena, Colombia, and Seoul, South Korea.
