Dream Hotel Group is partnering with developer Beaty Capital Group to build a new lifestyle hotel in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dream Hotel Group has unveiled plans to create a 207-room lifestyle hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. Dream Cleveland will form part of a mixed-use scheme set in the city’s historic Masonic Temple. We find out more about this exciting development, due to open in 2022.

Dream Hotel Group hits all the right notes

The fast-growing hotel and brand management company Dream Hotel Group is continuing to expand with another new signing – its flagship lifestyle brand Dream Hotels is on its way to Cleveland, the Rock and Roll Capital of the World.

Dream is partnering with developer Beaty Capital Group to build a stylish hotel on Euclid Avenue. The 207-key project, which will sit above a new TempleLive music venue, will also feature multiple dining and nightlife venues, a fitness centre, 100,000 sq ft of meeting and event space, and a parking deck for 400 vehicles.

Dream Hotel Group CEO Jay Stein said: “Today’s announcement is a testament to the strength of our brands and growing confidence in the travel industry despite these unprecedented times. Cleveland is the birthplace of rock and roll, and much like the Dream Hotels brand, it is a city marked by a youthful, vibrant energy, creative spirit and burgeoning arts and culture scene that many aren’t yet aware of.

“Together, with partners Beaty Capital Group, our goal is to deliver an experience-driven property that surpasses expectations, blending great food and beverage, creative programming, entertainment and world-class hospitality, in the heart of Midtown Cleveland.”

Revitalising the Masonic Temple

The Masonic Temple dates from 1921 and is spread over seven storeys, designed by renowned local architecture firm Hubbell and Benes. It has a long history of hosting performers and musicians, given that it was home to the Cleveland Orchestra for many years before branching out to welcome contemporary musical acts such as MGMT, Bastille, The 1975 and Pixies.

Local architectural firm Bialosky is the designer and executive architect, working closely with general contractor Cleveland Construction, and did the initial stabilisation and preservation work on the building in 2018. Construction work is expected to begin in early 2021.
