Dream Hotel Group finally gets its wish granted with the signing of a new-build property at the south end of Las Vegas’ infamous strip.

New York hotel management company Dream Hotel Group has finally cemented plans to build a 21-storey luxury Dream Las Vegas hotel near the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign on the southern end of the Las Vegas strip.

We find out more about the group’s planned arrival in America’s playground.

Dreams come true in Sin City

New York hotel management company Dream Hotel Group has had their sights set on Las Vegas for quite some time, and now the dream has finally become a reality with the signing of a deal between the NYC organisation and Californian developers and investors Contour and Shopoff Realty.

“Las Vegas is a market that we have been trying to get into for a lot of years now,” said Jay Stein, CEO of Dream. “We looked at a number of existing sites and we looked at maybe renovating one of those into a Dream property, but none of those got done. When we met with these developers, it was really exciting.”

A new offering on the strip

The deal signed for the 5.25-acre site on the eastern side of Las Vegas Boulevard and close to the famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign will involve the construction of a new-build 21-storey hotel, which will also boast a stunning rooftop pool, nightlife and entertainment venues.

This property will also appeal to event organisers with its 1,000+ sqm (12,000+ sqft) of event and conference space, as well as to those looking to roll the dice at the casino and sample some local fare at one of the three signature restaurants.

However, this will not be just any run-of-the-mill offering. Dream is planning on shaking up the lifestyle segment in Las Vegas, and Stein says, “We’re going to do a hotel that hasn’t really been seen yet in Las Vegas.”

“A lot of the great lifestyle brands that have come to Las Vegas have ended up inside another hotel or part of another hotel. We’re going to create a stylized, hip, intimate kind of experience. We’re looking to provide what the modern traveller is looking for,” Stein elaborated.

Guests at the hotel will also be able to enjoy the proximity to Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium, currently under construction and due to host the Las Vegas Raiders in the next NFL season.

Dream Hotel Group has around 20 properties in the pipeline, which will add to its current portfolio of 16.
