DoubleTree by Hilton opens first hotel in Germany
The upscale brand has entered its 50th country with the launch of the 146-room DoubleTree by Hilton Frankfurt Niederrad, its inaugural German property.
DoubleTree by Hilton Frankfurt Niederrad has further strengthened the dynamic hotel market in Germany’s financial capital.
DoubleTree comes to Germany
Set only five miles from Frankfurt Airport, DoubleTree by Hilton Frankfurt Niederrad is ideal for both business and leisure travellers. Apart from being close to key transport hubs, it’s also only a short drive from important corporate headquarters and business districts. Museums, walking trails and the city’s shopping district, moreover, are just a short train ride away.
The hotel’s 146 rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows with impressive views of Frankfurt’s skyline. Plus, its all-day restaurant with terraced seating area serves traditional European dishes, a selection of German beers and specialty cocktails, while its versatile meeting spaces can accommodate up to 140 attendees.
According to Hilton Worldwide, DoubleTree by Hilton Frankfurt Niederrad is a prime example of how the brand’s successful expansion over the past decade has been fuelled by conversions of non-Hilton properties. DoubleTree by Hilton has nearly quadrupled its property count in the last ten years – today, it has over 615 hotels with more than 141,000 rooms worldwide.
A new market for DoubleTree by Hilton
The brand’s latest outpost, DoubleTree by Hilton Frankfurt Niederrad, is its first in Germany, Europe’s largest economy. It also means that the Doubletree by Hilton brand now has a presence in 50 countries around the world, from the UK and Australia to Chile and Indonesia.
DoubleTree by Hilton Frankfurt Niederrad is Hilton Worldwide’s eighth property in Frankfurt. With 34 open hotels and 20 more on the way, Germany is currently the group’s largest market in Continental Europe.
Many other exciting projects are in the pipeline around the world too. Currently, the brand has over 200 hotels under development, including DoubleTree by Hilton Cote des Arcadins Beach Resort & Spa in Haiti and Doubletree by Hilton Rome Monti in Italy.
“DoubleTree by Hilton is one of the portfolio’s fastest growing brands and we are delighted to celebrate the 50th-country milestone and our first hotel in Germany,” said Shawn McAteer, global brand head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “We look forward to expanding our global footprint to develop more properties in key destinations, from overwater bungalows in sought-after resort locations to high-rise rooftop bars with 360-degree views of major city skylines.”
