DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Ku'damm is now open just moments from the city’s famous shopping avenue, Kurfürstendamm, as the brand’s third hotel in Germany.

Significantly, this property designed by Virserius Studios marks the first opening under Hilton’s full-service DoubleTree by Hilton brand in Germany’s capital city.

Transformation of a site

Aimed at both business and leisure travellers as well as groups, the new DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Ku’damm has opened as one of the largest hotels in the city, housing 420 guest rooms and meeting space spanning over 8,600 sq ft.

This property takes over a site that originally opened as a hotel in 1981 and underwent an extensive 16-month renovation before reopening under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand. The site now benefits from the contemporary interior design of Virserius Studios.

Commenting on the opening, Hannes Dreher, General Manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Ku´damm, said: “DoubleTree by Hilton Berlin Ku´damm brings together all that you need for an exceptional stay – contemporary accommodation with exceptional dining options and state-of-the-art meeting facilities.”

“Our hotel is surrounded by historic landmarks such as the public square, Breitscheidplatz, and the KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens), the best known department store in Germany known as the “Department Store of the West. Parallel to the major shopping street, Ku´damm, our hotel is in the perfect location for those visiting internationally for business or leisure and looking to be in the middle of all of the action here in Berlin.”

Business and leisure

The hotel’s accommodation options include 15 suites. All rooms and suites here incorporate amenities such as upscale bedding and spa-inspired bathrooms.

During their stay, guests can make the most of facilities within the hotel including a fully-equipped fitness area and a restaurant serving the sustainable zero-waste menu of Chef de Cuisine Alexandre Castelain.

With its convenient location, the hotel will now act as a meeting hub housing 11 state-of-the-art and well-appointed meeting spaces with high-tech equipment to serve all needs for meetings and other events.

The property overlooks Los Angeles Plaza in the heart of Berlin’s luxury shopping district. Here, guests are within moments of the exclusive boutiques, restaurants and showrooms found on the street known as the Champs-Elysees of Berlin, Kurfürstendamm avenue.
