A 290-room hotel with stunning lakeside views has opened in the fast-growing Malaysian city, just a 20-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside underlines Hilton Worldwide’s commitment to South-East Asia.
DoubleTree by Hilton cements its place in Malaysia
This new 290-key hotel is located on four acres of land beside the picturesque Putrajaya Lake in the heart of Malaysia’s third Federal Territory. Owned by Indaman Putrajaya and managed by Hilton Worldwide, it offers a convenient launchpad for exploring sights like the Millennium Monument, the pink Putra Mosque, the Moroccan Pavilion and Putrajaya Botanical Garden.
“The launch of DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside brings us to our third DoubleTree by Hilton hotel to open in South-East Asia in under a year,” said Paul Hutton, vice president of operations for Hilton in South East Asia. “Joining our portfolio of four DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in Malaysia as the 12th hotel in our operating estate in Malaysia, the launch of the resort during this period is a testament to the commitment of Hilton to establishing our presence in new destinations across the country.
“We are optimistic that when regional and international travel resume in the long run, DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside will be well-positioned to meet the evolved needs of our guests in a safe manner while delivering our renowned levels of Hilton hospitality to them.”
Home comforts in an exotic paradise
DoubleTree by Hilton has built its reputation on bringing home comforts to business and leisure travellers the world over, and this property in Putrajaya is no different. Each of the 290 guestrooms offers flexible features that make it ideal for both working and relaxing.
Families will also find everything they need to keep the kids entertained at the Splash Pool, while those who like to keep fit on the go can head over to the state-of-the-art fitness centre.
Meanwhile, DoubleTree Putrajaya boasts 3,773 sq m of event space, with no fewer than 22 meeting rooms. And there are two onsite restaurants: Makan Kitchen, which serves up authentic local cuisine in an all-day dining environment; and Koffee, a lobby deli where guests can relax with a coffee or grab a sandwich on their way out the door.
