The result of a partnership between Hilton Worldwide and Daiwa House Industry Co, the newbuild DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle will open its doors in 2024.
Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with Daiwa House Industry Co to bring the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to one of Japan’s largest cities.
A brand debut in Osaka
DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle is currently expected to launch in the spring of 2024. This 377-key, newbuild hotel will become only the third hotel managed by Hilton Worldwide in the city after Hilton Osaka and Conrad Osaka.
Guy Phillips, senior vice president of development in Asia and Australasia at Hilton, said: “We are delighted to partner with Daiwa House Industry Co to bring the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel to Osaka, a top tourist destination in Japan.
“With its strategic location and signature Hilton hospitality, DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle will be ideally suited to serve business and leisure demand in the market. When Osaka hosts the World Expo, which will see the city welcome delegates and participants from some 150 countries, I am confident the hotel will be top of mind for both domestic and business travellers.”
Keisuke Shimonishi, director and managing executive officer, head of commercial construction business division, Daiwa House Industry Co, added: “We are pleased to sign our first agreement with Hilton. We look forward to a strong partnership with Hilton and working together to further develop the travel and tourism industry.
“I have high expectations for DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle and I am confident that it will deliver great value and excellent customer satisfaction, while contributing to the invigoration of the Osaka Castle area.”
An appealing location
The new DoubleTree by Hilton property will be located within walking distance of the almost 450-year-old Osaka Castle, which sits amid the historic Osaka Castle Park, filled with cherry, apricot and plum trees. By staying here, guests will also be just a five-minute walk away from Temmabashi station, providing easy access to Umeda and Namba.
The hotel will be housed within a newly built 15-storey building with 377 modern guestrooms and impressive facilities, including an indoor pool, fitness centre, meeting space and executive lounge. Guests will have a number of dining options to choose between, from all-day Grab & Go to the lobby lounge and bar.
DoubleTree by Hilton Osaka Castle will be around 50 km from Kansai International Airport and a ten-minute drive from Osaka station.
