Design showcase: Top five outdoor baths

by | 09 Mar 2022 | Design

For our latest TOPHOTELDESIGN exclusive, we consider five elegant hotels around the world that are making a big splash with their stylish external baths.

In the accelerated world that we live in, taking a long bath instead of a five-minute clock-ticking shower is seen as an act of self-care.

Soaking up the world’s finest outdoor baths

It seems that we’ve reached such a point in humanity that the most basic routine tasks such as eating well, sleeping properly or taking a bath (and doing it mindfully) are a privilege that we enjoy deeply.

Similarly, being outdoors or close to nature have the same effect on us; escaping the hustle of the fast-paced concrete city.

Today, we’ve selected five projects that present wonderfully designed outdoor baths in the most tasteful of ways.

Ranging from minimalist, pale-coloured, open-roofed baths and exotic plants that surround freestanding bathtubs to a bath at the very edge of an elevated platform surrounded by jungle trees.
