Conrad Washington, D.C.
Hilton’s newest Conrad hotel will open in the U.S. governmental capital of Washington D.C. in the first quarter of 2019, and is set to bring contemporary chic and calm to this vibrant city. The hotel has been designed by Swiss architectural duo Herzog and de Meuron, with interiors by Rottet Studio. The result is a shimmering and transparent structure both inside and out, and its 360 rooms benefit from expansive views out over the district. Outdoor terraces, a rooftop bar and art exhibitions all make this hotel a coveted destination in the heart of Washington D.C.’s most desirable area.
The Fife Arms, Braemar, Scotland
This 19th century hunting lodge has been lovingly restored by architect Ben Addy and interior designer Russell Sage to turn it into a perfect country retreat. Located close to the historic town of Braemar in Scotland, just a stone’s throw away from the royal estate of Balmoral, the Fife Arms boasts 46 exquisite rooms and suites, each of which has its own unique style and character. The Royal Suites are inspired by some of the lodge’s historic guests, and even contain some of their prized possessions, while the Victoriana suites are an exercise in extravagance, echoing the property’s classical charm.
Hôtel de Paris, Monte Carlo, Monaco
This Belle Epoque property has been restored to its former glory after a four-year renovation, which has at once retained the glamour and grandeur of this famous hotel and simultaneously brought it into the modern era with a series of upgrades that ensure it meets the demanding standards of today. A new, contemporary wing has been added to the hotel, while a new courtyard provides outdoor common space and a new spa allows guests ample space to relax and rejuvenate. The suites have views towards the ocean, and the rooms have been executed in a sophisticated palette that reflects the building’s history and luxurious location.
Nobu Hotel Barcelona, Spain
Set to open its doors in the latter half of 2019, the latest in Nobu’s hotel offerings will capture the essence of the Catalan city of Barcelona. Nobu Barcelona boasts 250 rooms and suites, and this luxurious boutique hotel takes full advantage of its prime city centre location. As you would expect, the hotel features a signature Nobu restaurant, which offers diners and guests panoramic views out over the city. The hotel is located in the former Gran Hotel Torre de Catalunya, which connects it back to the history and character of the city.
Mari Mari, Patagonia, Chile
Lovers of the outdoors will feel right at home here on the wild and windy coast of Chilean Patagonia. The Mari Mari hotel is located across a 13 km stretch of Pacific coastline, and in one of Chile’s most incredible nature reserves. Guests will find themselves immersed in nature at every turn, and the six oceanfront villas are made from natural and locally sourced materials.
