Clever design embracing Ibiza’s eclectic roots has made the 2019-completed W Ibiza in Santa Eulalia del Río the focus for our latest TOPHOTELDESIGN exclusive.

Ibizan spirit has been brought into W Hotels’ Balearic property with the help of some decidedly contemporary resort design, pairing white surfaces and sea views with pops of vibrant colour.

Fitting in with its setting

Located in Santa Eulalia del Río, W Ibiza places guests within easy reach of Ibiza’s famous beaches, as well as its nightclubs and rural inland attractions.

Baranowitz + Kronenberg drew on the island’s bohemian energy and playful spirit to create interiors distinguished by their innovative design and bold style. Pops of vibrant colour feature throughout bright and light-filled spaces that spill out onto relaxation areas, the pool and beachfront, complemented by a façade of blue, green and yellow awnings.

Overall, this Inversions Hoteleres Ebza-owned property is designed to provide a stylish social hub in a lively beachside neighbourhood.

From high energy to tranquility

This style runs throughout three distinct concepts for dining, drinking and relaxing. There’s a rooftop sunset bar and the brand’s signature Wet Deck, as well as a second Wet Deck with direct beach access.

Additional facilities within the property include a serene 4,000 sq ft Away Spa incorporating the same colours seen throughout the rest of the property, and the bright and bold Fit gym.

The hotel’s 162 sophisticated guestrooms and suites also embrace Ibiza’s identity, while the luxurious bathrooms were supplied by Laufen and Roca, two of the industry’s biggest names.
