The five-year-old brand is adding five new properties, including new locations in California, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Washington state.

The number five has recently become an important one for the Curio Collection by Hilton brand.

As many in the industry are aware, the brand just celebrated its milestone fifth birthday. Now, Curio Collection by Hilton is adding five new hotels, spread as they are throughout the Western United States. Those hotels will be located in the states of California, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Washington state.

This is a significant expansion for Curio Collection, which will now have a portfolio that features locations in more than half of all U.S. states. Adding up to is a stylish brand with a great diversity of climates, landscapes, and elevations spread across a key country in the international hospitality market.

“For those looking for relaxing desert getaways at the historic Hotel Andaluz Albuquerque or for rigorous adventures while hiking and rock climbing in the surrounding national parks at Hoodoo Moab, these additions offer a mix of local culture, food and the chance to explore the great outdoors,” said Mark Nogal, global head, Curio Collection by Hilton. “Over the past five years, we’ve delivered unique experiences to curious travelers in unexpected, emerging destinations, and with more than 60 hotels in our global pipeline, we’re just getting started.”

The value of the Western United States

In terms of hospitality markets within the United States, the western area of the country is key, known internationally for its amazing vistas and near-mythological rugged past.

Travellers continue seeking out vacation in the west, with a whopping 39 percent of online hospitality searches related to U.S. tourism focusing on the Rocky Mountains, Southwest, and Far West regions of the country. It is this much beloved western landscape that will create an excellent backdrop for the new addition to the Curio Collection, putting guests close to iconic destinations.

These destinations include the likes of Cliffrose Springdale’s near proximity to Zion National Park in Utah, or The Chrysalis Inn and Spa Bellingham’s placement just minutes away from Glacier Peak. Designers and management are curating each hotel with access and amenities specific to the interests of those who may visit the region’s in which they are located. There will also be a heavy focus on top-tier local cuisine, or in finding tranquil moments in nearby deserts or by hiking the majestic paths of the Pacific Northwest.
