Independent hospitality management company Crestline Hotels & Resorts has been given the nod to run AC Hotel Portland Downtown / Waterfront in Maine.
A contemporary 178-key property in the Northeastern United States is embarking upon a new era.
Placing the focus on Portland
Crestline Hotels & Resorts has been selected to manage AC Hotel Portland Downtown / Waterfront, the company has revealed, marking its second hotel in Maine’s largest city. In 2020, the business welcomed Residence Inn Portland Downtown/Waterfront to its portfolio.
AC Hotel Portland Downtown / Waterfront lies just two blocks from the Old Port District, known for its attractive mix of shopping, dining and outdoor activities. Located on the site of The Grand Trunk Station, the property’s a real focal point of Fore Street and commands impressive views over Casco Bay.
James Carroll, president and CEO of Crestline, said: “We are excited to expand our portfolio in Portland where we see a surge in tourism to the region as well as the resumption of business travel.”
An appealing base for local exploration
The hotel comprises 169 guestrooms and suites, which are all elegantly designed with amenities including smart TVs, adjustable reading lamps, complimentary wifi and plush bedding. Visitors can pick up grab-and-go breakfast items from The AC Kitchen and unwind in the AC Lounge with a selection of wines, craft beers and cocktails during the afternoon and evening.
Additional facilities here include a fitness centre and four meeting and event rooms, which altogether span 2,696 sq ft.
The hotel, which is 4.9 miles from Portland International Jetport, offers a complimentary shuttle service upon request. It’s also only a short walk away from the Casco Bay Ferry Lines, the Victoria Mansion and East End Beach.
