Indonesia’s fastest-growing hotel brands

A part of the Indonesia-based Tauzia Hotel Management group, the Modern Harris Hotels brand is taking the lead in terms of new openings. 16 trendy hotels will bring 3,085 rooms to the local market.

Aston Hotels, a local brand which caters to upscale business and leisure travellers plans 6 openings with 776 rooms. Marriott’s aloft Hotel and Citadines apart’hotels will launch 5 properties each and Melia Hotels & Resorts has 4 projects in the pipeline.

The resort is slated to launch by Q2, 2021.

The 204-key Westin Surabaya is another interesting project worth watching. Set on the outskirts of Surabaya, it will be conveniently located atop the Pakuwon Mall. The property is also close to the business and commercial hubs often frequented by corporate travellers. It will open by Q2 next year.

The Melia Adhiwangsa Surabaya will open in the city’s bustling downtown area by Q2 2021. 300 elegant rooms, a luxurious spa and wellness area as well as access to a golf course make this the perfect place for leisure travellers to kickback.

Finally, the SO/ Jakarta Mega Kuningan is set to become the city’s new landmark for luxury. Slated to open in early 2021, the 212-key hotel will attract travellers who value not only elegance and exclusivity but also funky design and cutting-edge technology.
