Washington DC welcomes a new Hilton property, the recently opened Conrad Washington, DC.

This stylish new property is in the middle of the District and offers guests the opportunity to serenely survey the nation’s capital from the hotel’s exclusive club or the rooftop bar.

We take a look inside this highly anticipated opening.

Herzog & de Meuron design the Conrad Washington, DC

The opening of this District hotel has been eagerly awaited, and now guests can experience the stunning creation by renowned Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron for themselves.

The hotel is of greater significance than usual for Hilton, considering the group’s origins in the nearby town of McLean, Virginia

Beyond this, the design is an attraction in itself, as the sleek, curvilinear silhouette stands out from the crowd in this part of town.

Martin Rinck, Executive Vice President of Hilton, says, “Conrad Washington, DC will offer a luxury hotel experience never before seen in DC for both business and leisure travellers alike.

Everything from the personalized, intuitive service to the modern and sleek design by the famed firm Herzog & de Meuron, to the exceptional culinary offerings, will leave guests feeling inspired by what this city has to offer.”

Panoramic views, rooftop bars and exclusive clubs

The Conrad Washington, DC is part of Hilton’s plan to expand their luxury and lifestyle portfolio, and this property provided them with the opportunity to showcase what the Conrad brand stands for in this important destination.

Apart from the amazing design, the Conrad also draws guests because of its inimitable offerings, including the hotel’s signature restaurant, Estuary, whose menu was created by James Beard and brings modern, innovative cuisine to the US capital.

The Sakura Club is an “elevated hospitality experience”, according to Martin Rinck, which “is designed for the most discerning hotel guests, with carefully curated offerings from premier local and global vendors to create a personalized experience unlike any other in the city.”

Guests can also sit back and relax on the hotel’s enviable rooftop bar or chill out on the terraces that are carved out at specific spots within the hotel to take the best advantage of spectacular vistas.
