Residence Inn by Marriott Bogotá, operated by oxoHotel, brings one of the world’s most prolific extended-stay brands to the country for the very first time.

Marriott International is celebrating the opening of a new Residence Inn property in Colombia, responding to the growing international demand for longer stay venues.

A home from home at Residence Inn

The new Residence Inn by Marriott Bogotá boasts 131 suites, split between self-contained studios, and one- and two-bedroom units. It aims to cater for travellers planning a longer stay in the Colombian who want to enjoy both the comforts of home and the conveniences of a hotel.

Diane Mayer, vice president and global brand manager of Classic Select Brands for Marriott International, said: “We are very pleased to introduce the Residence Inn by Marriott brand for the first time in Colombia.

“We’ve seen increased demand for longer stay brands that offer modern amenities, open room layouts and sophisticated design to spread out, recharge and maintain a healthy balance while on the road, whether for business or for fun. Travellers can make the most of their stay by choosing the Residence Inn by Marriott Bogotá.”

A new property from oxoHotel

Operated by oxoHotel, a specialist in the conceptualisation, development and operation of multi-brand and multi-segment accommodations, Residence Inn by Marriott Bogotá combines domesticity with adventure. Located in one of the city’s most cosmopolitan neighbourhoods, the hotel gives guests direct access to Chico Market, which is home to more than 30 culinary offerings.

The suites are finished in organic materials and executed in warm palettes and natural textures. Flashes of Colombian tradition and craft are visible in the goldwork details, and fully equipped kitchens mean that guests can maintain their dietary routine away from home. There are also custom-designed work areas, enabling business travellers to remain productive on the go.

“We are delighted to open the first Residence Inn in Colombia in an area surrounded by impressive shops, restaurants and experiences that invite business and tourism,” said Juan Carlos Galindo, CEO of oxoHotel. “Each suite has been developed to create sensations of being close to home with personalised welcoming moments.

“With this opening, we are not only reaffirming our intention to offer enhanced experiences to our guests, but also to reignite tourism and new hotel projects in Colombia.”
