The resort specialist has pledged to provide a “year-round mountain vacation experience” at the Lemaymichaud-designed scheme – and outlined plans to launch a new project in Utah.

A stylish property aimed squarely at outdoor enthusiasts has started welcoming guests in Canada.

Inviting guests to explore the Great Outdoors

An inauguration ceremony has been held to mark the arrival of Club Med Québec Charlevoix, overlooking the St Lawrence River near Québec City. The scheme, which showcases architecture and interiors by Canadian firm Lemaymichaud, offers visitors a host of outdoor activities from skiing and snowboarding to hiking and mountain biking.

As well as having 302 rooms and an Exclusive Collection space with 25 suites, it boasts an impressive range of guest amenities, including a spa, gym and large indoor pool. In terms of F&B, travellers can refuel at the restaurants Le Chalet, Terroir & Co and Le Marché, or grab a drink or two at Bar Le Chalet and Bar Le Météore.

Henri Giscard D’Estaing, president of Club Med, said: “Our pioneering spirit has allowed us to successfully introduce our distinctive all-inclusive model to ski destinations worldwide and reshape what a traditional ski vacation looks like. Our first resort in Canada, Club Med Québec, delivers an unparalleled year-round mountain vacation experience through boundless cultural touchpoints that pay homage to the region, and we look forward to working alongside our partners to showcase Le Massif de Charlevoix’s incredible culture, warm spirit and remarkable landscape.”

Club Med Utah plans revealed

During the inauguration, Club Med’s president also unveiled plans to open a new scheme at Snowbasin Resort near Salt Lake City in December 2024. Club Med Utah will incorporate 320 rooms that carefully combine American luxury sensibilities with the brand’s French savoir-faire.

Carolyne Doyon, president and CEO of Club Med North America and the Caribbean, said: “Club Med is known for pioneering new destinations, and we are eager to introduce Snowbasin to travellers as well as bring the very first luxury all-inclusive mountain resort to the US. Continuing our 70-year legacy, Club Med Utah will give travellers additional opportunities to discover Utah’s natural beauty and welcoming communities through a transformative mountain getaway experience.”
