Projected openings by year

Eight hotels will add 3,343 rooms to Orlando’s key count before the end of 2020. Three of them are already in the pre-opening phase, while the others are still under construction.

For 2021, another five rather small projects are planned to add 645 rooms to the city’s offering. Only two properties are slated to launch in 2022 and together they will bring 1,239 rooms into play. For 2023 and beyond, seven more hotels with 3,984 rooms are on the books.

Of the 22 new hotels, 14 will be in the four-star category. The remaining eight will fall into the five-star luxury segment.

Project spotlight: AC Hotel by Marriott Tremont Plaza

Set in Downtown Orlando, the new 180-room AC Hotel by Marriott Tremont Plaza will offer both leisure and business guests the perfect place to stay thanks to its convenient access to the city’s key commercial and entertainment offerings as well as Orlando International Airport.

The 25-storey tower that will house the eight-floor hotel will also offer ten floors of parking and seven floors of offices, with retail spaces available to local businesses on the ground floor.

The hotel is being developed by Tremont Realty Capital – Boston and Lincoln Property – Orlando and will open in late 2020. HuntonBrady Architects and Portman Architects handled the creative and design aspects, ensuring the property will blend seamlessly into its surroundings, all while creating a contemporary landmark.

Upon their arrival, guests will no doubt enjoy the stylish yet efficient experience of this hotel’s distinctly European style, which was inspired by the needs of today’s modern traveller.
