City Overview: Nashville’s hotel market set to grow by over 7,300 rooms [Infographic]

In the coming year, Nashville — the capital of country music — will get over 7,300 new hotel rooms to accommodate ever-growing demand.

America’s capital of country music, Nashville, Tennessee has a solid pipeline of 33 new hotels while are set to add 7,390 rooms to the city’s market.

The TOPHOTELCONSTRUCTION database reveals which type of new hotels will be openings and which projects will make the biggest waves.

Consistent growth in Nashville

While some cities or states are experiencing quite the growth spurt in 2020, Nashville’s hotel market will be expanding more steadily in the coming years.

12 hotels with 3,160 rooms are planned for 2020, 11 more will follow in 2021 and add 2,230 rooms and 10 more in the pipeline for 2022 and beyond.

17 of these properties are currently under construction and one is in the pre-opening phase. In light of the immense damage recently caused by a tornado, it is currently unclear how much the new hotels were impacted and how soon construction and pre-opening activities can resume.

Focus on upscale hotel projects and brands

Of the 33 new hotels 24 properties will be in the 4-star segment, while 9 will offer 5-star services and amenities.

This trend is also reflected in the brands expanding in Nashville. Hilton’s Tapestry Collection will open two new properties in the city while Grand Hyatt and Embassy Suites by Hilton will each open one property.

Noteworthy hotels coming up in Nashville

By the beginning of 2022, the 650-room Frisco Station Project will open its doors and offer 34 storeys of residential units for long- and short-term lease. Guests will have access to an amenity deck featuring a pool, dog run, yoga space and views of downtown Nashville and the Cumberland River. The retail and entertainment area of the building will be the largest collection of shopping in downtown Nashville. In keeping with Nashville’s musical side, the Project will also house the National Museum of African American Music, the first of its kind.

Later this year, the 350-room W Nashville will welcome guests with its funky luxury rooms and quirky design elements. The 16-storey building is a mixed-use project which will also accommodate restaurants and some retail spaces. Guests staying at the W Nashville can enjoy sweeping views from the pool deck, tasty treats at the in-house restaurant and flawless meeting sin the state-of-the-art event spaces.

Another interesting hotel opening towards the end of 2020 is the Joseph Nashville – A Luxury Collection Hotel. The 297-room property will have a strong focus on contemporary design, art, music and cuisine and showcase the work of Tennessee visual and performing artists. It will feature banquet and meeting facilities, a restaurant and bar, a rooftop spa and a swimming pool.

The 139-room Conrad Hotel Nashville be set in one of the two towers at Broadwest, a new urban mixed-use project, which will also include office space, upscale retail offerings and high-end condominiums. Guest can enjoy quick access to downtown Nashville as well as the elegant hotel facilities including various F&B outlets as well as a fitness centre and meet and events facilities.
