With 580 rooms, the Hangzhou Yingguan Sofitel Hotel is the largest property in the city’s pipeline, our database suggests. Due to open in late 2021, the Sofitel will offer luxurious guestrooms and suites as well as several restaurants, lounges and a bar, but the MICE facilities will probably be its main selling point. The main banquet hall will be 1,500 sq m in size and can be divided into three smaller rooms, while a separate banquet room will cover 1,000 sq m, and there will also be nine small meeting rooms and a spacious breakout area.

The 364-key Hangzhou Fuchun Hilton Hotel, meanwhile, is on track to become the region’s leading luxury business hotel. Upon its completion in late 2021, the 30-storey tower will boast a banquet hall for up to 600 guests, ten versatile conference rooms, a 24-hour restaurant, a spa and an indoor swimming pool.

By contrast, Hotel Indigo Xiang Lake Hangzhou is probably one of the most picturesque hotels currently under development across the whole of China. Set in the Xiang Lake Tourist Resort of Hangzhou, the property is situated on the eastern bank of the lake surrounded by mountains, and is scheduled to launch in Q2 2021. The 325-room property has been designed to blend in with the stunning landscape and offer guests spectacular views of the lake and mountains from both the guest rooms and public areas.

Lastly, Hangzhou Xianghu Xiaoyao Manor will also open on the shores of Xiang Lake soon. This 130-key property, due to open in Q3 2020, will feature rooms and suites with stunning views of the breath-taking natural surroundings, inviting guests to linger and relax in this tranquil haven.
