IHG Hotels and Resorts is pushing further into the European upscale extended stay segment with the signing of more than 380 rooms to its Staybridge Suites brand across Europe.
The international extended stay brand Staybridge Suites is an established part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts portfolio, and it is now expanding into Europe, with a number of launch openings in new country markets.
The hosting of the Open championship in 2025 has acted as a catalyst for hotel development in Northern Ireland, where international brands are now starting to make their presence felt.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed nine new hotels, together encompassing over 1,000 new guest rooms, across five brands in this region.
IHG Hotels & Resorts is partnering with Saudi Arabian developer Al Jumaiah Group to bring two new sites to the west of the Middle Eastern nation.
IHG Hotels & Resorts’ worldwide hotel pipeline reached 286,228 rooms within 239 hotels at the end of Q2 this year, representing 31% of its current system size.
IHG Hotels & Resorts has had another year of solid growth, with its pipeline topping 281,000 rooms as at the end of 2022.
IHG and SRG Holding have opened a 360-key upper-upscale property within a soaring 48-storey tower opposite the Dubai International Financial Centre.
