Major brand group IHG has launched a new initiative to share and learn from best practice across its hotel portfolio, in a bid to drive down the carbon intensity of its hotels, reducing fossil fuel use and deploying cleaner energy.
Luxury hotel brands have been growing their presence in the Spanish hotel market, and are now being joined by midscale and economy brands, as locally owned and family run hotels decline.
