Managed by ACH Hotels & Resorts, the new-look Radisson Blu Resort & Residence, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic boasts 164 suites and five restaurants.

Located near the celebrated nightclub and entertainment venue Coco Bongo and Plaza San Juan, home to Punta Cana’s largest shopping mall, this revamped property is a worthy addition to the upper-upscale Radisson Blu brand.

A comprehensive refurbishment programme

The existing hotel has undergone a major transformation, which included a full lobby redesign and a complete reimagining of its five eateries. Finishing touches came in the form of sculptures from Patricio Correa and decor by Vitico Cabrera.

Tania Castillo, the hotel’s managing owner, said: “Punta Cana is lively yet peaceful; vibrant yet relaxing. Our property perfectly captures that balance. Becoming a part of the Radisson Blu brand has elevated this hotel to one of the Dominican Republic’s premier destinations and we’re thrilled to begin delivering an exemplary guest experience that is as safe as it is relaxing.”

Frances Gonzalez, vice president, operations, Latin America, Radisson Hotel Group, added: “We’re excited to bring the Radisson Blu brand to Punta Cana with the help of our partners at Inversiones Aguayuna. Their proven ownership capabilities coupled with this hotel’s intimate layout and chic, open-air spaces are the perfect recipe for creating a safe and luxurious experience for our guests.”

Looking forward to the post-Covid era

Businesses throughout the Dominican Republic are doubtless hoping that a return to normal, or as normal as things can be, is close at hand given that tourism is one of the country’s key industries.

“We are confident in the recovery of tourism in the Dominican Republic,” said Francisco Jorge, vice president of ACH Hotels & Resorts, which manages the hotel. “Punta Cana is a world-class destination and we are elated to be working together with Radisson Hotel Group to open the doors of this stunning hotel.”

Situated right on the Playa Cabeza de Toro, Radisson Blu Resort & Residence, Punta Cana boasts 164 suites spread over 12 buildings, as well as numerous amenities including a hair salon, spa, indoor/outdoor fitness centre and gym, and large outdoor pool at the heart of the complex.

Radisson Blu is an upper-upscale hotel brand that delivers a positive and personalised service in stylish spaces.
