Cambria Hotels is known for offering a localised guest experience in an upscale setting.

Choice Hotels’ upscale brand Cambria Hotels expands into new US regions and offers guests convenient and well-appointed options in popular destinations.

Cambria Hotels, Choice Hotels’ upscale brand, has announced plans to expand further into New York and Texas with new franchise agreements signed in Niagara Falls and Austin.

This falls in line with Cambria’s broader expansion plans. We find out more.

Cambria expands in two major states

Cambria Hotels has signed franchise agreements for two new properties in two major US states, Texas and New York.

TOPHOTELNEWS has highlighted the brand in the past for being one of the fastest expanding brands in the US, and the announcement of these two new hotels forms part of Cambria’s planned growth strategy. Currently, Cambria Hotels boasts over 80 hotel developments in its pipeline.

Mark Shalala, vice president of franchise development for upscale brands, Choice Hotels, spoke of the new properties, saying, “These agreements reinforce Choice Hotels’ commitment to growing our upscale presence in high barrier-to-entry, top-tier markets with world-class developers. Our robust development pipeline, including these two new agreements, is proof that developers appreciate Cambria’s ability to offer a localised guest experience that truly sets us apart from our competition.”

Cambria shines in Austin and Niagara Falls

Texas has already proven to be fertile ground for Cambria Hotels, with the brand currently operating six hotels with a further ten to go live in the coming years.

New York, meanwhile, has played host to four Cambria properties in urban centres, so the new Niagara Falls property will be a natural complement to these. The Texas property will be the Cambria Hotel Austin Airport, a 127-key hotel conveniently located close to both the Austin Bergstrom International Airport and to the city’s downtown area.

Due to welcome the public in 2021, the hotel will not only provide a comfortable and easily accessible place to stay close to the airport but will also serve Austin’s tech neighbourhood, as well as the city’s famous SXSW music and arts festival.

The 120-key Cambria Hotel Niagara Falls will open in 2022 a mere two blocks from the world-famous state park that is home to the waterfalls, one of the greatest tourist destinations in North America.
