Choice Hotels International’s upscale brand has expanded with the opening of Cambria Hotel Shelby Township-Detroit, featuring Motor City-inspired decor and a tribute to historic cars.
This 98-key property is only Cambria Hotels’ second property in Michigan, joining Cambria Hotels Traverse City, and its first in the Detroit metropolitan area.
A prime position for business and leisure stays
Developed by Koucar Management, Cambria Hotel Shelby Township-Detroit is now welcoming guests to 50741 Corporate Drive. This convenient location in Shelby Township makes the scheme an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers, near the likes of Cherry Creek Corporate Park, the Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site, Cherry Creek Golf Course, Jimmy John’s Field, Mae Stecker Park and the General Motors Technical Center.

Designed for work and relaxation
Cambria Hotel Shelby Township-Detroit houses an abundance of upscale amenities designed for the modern traveller, from contemporary guestrooms with spa-style bathrooms to indoor and outdoor space for work and relaxation. Guests can take a dip in the hotel’s indoor heated pool, dine at Italian restaurant Verona, work out in the state-of-the-art fitness centre and make use of the property’s 1,500 sq ft of meeting and event space.
The decor throughout reflects the local area, with plenty of references to Detroit’s modern grit and vintage flair, alongside a stylish tribute to famous historic cars. And appropriately enough for a hotel on the outskirts of Motor City, the scheme provides easy access to Michigan Highway, while downtown Detroit is just a short drive away.
Koucar Management is working to develop a number of other Cambria properties throughout Portland, Washington DC, Maine and Michigan, including Cambria Hotel Detroit Downtown. There are currently almost 60 Cambria hotels open across the US.
