Cambria Hotels breaks ground on Niagara Falls development

Construction work for the 120-room Cambria Hotel Niagara Falls has begun following a ceremony attended by representatives of Choice Hotels International and Plati Niagara.
A new accommodation option is set to make a splash near one of the most popular tourist attractions in the US.
Expanding Cambria Hotels’ footprint
The Choice Hotels International brand’s fourth hotel to break ground in Q4 2021 alone, Cambria Hotels’ US coast-to-coast expansion programme shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Indeed, the start of construction work on Cambria Hotels Niagara Falls, which is expected to launch in spring 2023, tops off 12 months of significant growth for the brand, following on from openings in the likes of Louisville, Orlando and Napa Valley.
Representatives of Choice and franchisee and developer Plati Niagara, plus local dignitaries, were among those in attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony.
This 120-key hotel is now taking shape at 311 Rainbow Blvd in downtown Niagara Falls, New York, just two blocks from Niagara Falls State Park. From here, guests will have easy access to the Maid of the Mist boat tour and the Robert Moses Niagara Power Plant.
“We’re committed to bringing the Cambria Hotels brand to more of guests’ favourite destinations, and I cannot think of a better place to do so than the breathtaking Niagara Falls,” said Janis Cannon, senior vice president, upscale brands, Choice Hotels. “Not only will the Cambria Hotel Niagara Falls put guests right at the doorstep of the majestic waterfalls, but its central location near downtown’s shops and restaurants will make this hotel the perfect place to experience this stunning part of the country.”
Upscale amenities and locally inspired design
Cambria Hotels’ first western New York hotel will have 120 contemporary guestrooms and an array of upscale amenities designed for the modern traveller.
Travellers can expect to find indoor and outdoor spaces for productivity and relaxation, alongside guestrooms with design-forward features, plush bedding, abundant lighting and immersive spa-style bathrooms. A bar and restaurant, serving freshly made food along with local craft beers, wine and specialty cocktails, will then be joined by multifunctional meeting and event space and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
The property aims to reflect the personality and history of the surrounding area through its interior design and decor.
