The Australian city of Brisbane will gain four new luxury hotels as part of the new Queen’s Wharf development, which is set to open in stages from late August.

World-class luxury in Brisbane

The $3.6 billion development will redefine the Queensland capital’s entertainment and leisure landscape, with a range of luxury accommodations and dining experiences.

The entertainment precinct will be operated as a joint venture between Star Entertainment Group, Far Eastern Consortium and Chow Tai Fook Enterprises

The first hotel to open will be The Star Grand, the Star Brisbane’s signature five-star hotel. It will be open to guests starting at the end of August, with 340 rooms overlooking either the Brisbane River or CBD.

A staggered opening

The Dorsett Brisbane will follow, with the timing yet to be confirmed. The hotel will be a 4.5-star offering featuring 387 guestrooms. The property will benefit from shared facilities managed by the integrated resort; such as conference centres, pools, spas, a gym and an all-day dining facility.

The third opening is slated to be The Rosewood, which will become Australia’s only ultra-luxury six-star hotel. The exact opening date for the hotel also remains to be confirmed but is expected to be in the third phase of the opening.

The Treasury Brisbane, a heritage hotel which is being extensively refurbished,  will be the final stop in the Queen’s Wharf development’s staggered opening. The property is currently for sale, with no hotel group associated with The Treasury at present.
