International hotel brands are doubling down on their commitment to open more hotels in Turkey.

Travel and tourism accounted for around 12% of the country’s GDP in 2023, supporting one in ten jobs in Turkey. The country is on target for visitor numbers to meet and even beat its record achieved in 2019, of welcoming 51m inbound tourists.

Ten more sites for Hilton

Hilton, for example, has just revealed it hs signed ten more hotels around the country. In December 2024, IHG signed another Vignette Collection hotel, while Accor recently launched its Movenpick brand in the country. Radisson, too, has added to its Turkish hotel pipeline with several signings.

Hilton has added ten new hotels to its upcoming openings roster in Turkey, including its first ski resort in the country. DoubleTree by Hilton in Sarikamis, with 84 rooms, will offer guests the option of enjoying skiing on the slopes of Sarikamis. Between them, the properties will add more than 1,000 rooms to the group’s portfolio.

In 2025, Hilton will celebrate 70 years since it opened its first hotel in Turkey, with the launch of several more. These will include the Hilton Istanbul airport, and the relaunch of the refurbished Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus. The Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton will also be expanding, with openings planned in destinations including Tarsus, Bitlis, Pendik, and Adiyaman. One of the larger properties coming in 2025 will be the 185 room Hampton by Hilton Izmir Bornova.

Further ahead in 2026, Hilton will open its fourth hotel in the coastal holiday destination of Bodrum. The 55 room Tapestry by Hilton Bodrum Eskicesme will be an out of town resort with multiple pools, amid great scenery.

2025 will also see IHG launch its Vignette Collection in Turkey. It has signed to open Vignette Collection, Union Han, Istanbul Karaköy, a conversion property that will be the group’s sixteenth hotel in the city. IHG currently has 32 hotels open across Turkey, with commitments to open a further 13.

Accor and Radisson growing too

Not to be left out, French group Accor launched its first Movenpick branded hotel in Turkey in summer 2024, with the 383 room Mövenpick Resort Antalya Tekirova opening on the Mediterranean coast. Another brand will launch in 2025, with the opening of Swissôtel Antalya Kalkan.

Also keeping up the pace is Radisson Hotel Group. In early 2025, it will welcome the first guests to Radisson Hotel Bursa. In 2026, the opening pace picks up with the Premier Hotel Kagithane Istanbul joining the Radisson Individuals collection brand; and the centrally located Park Inn by Radisson Istanbul Caglayan opening its doors. A further hotel is set to join Radisson Individuals in 2027, in central Turkey, when the 165 room Parsana Konya Hotel is scheduled to launch.
