According to the TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database, Radisson Hotels and Resorts is to add 11,639 new rooms to its global portfolio.

Asia Pacific is to welcome the most openings from the brand, with India expecting the most openings out of all the countries this brand has a presence in.

Global growth

Radisson Hotels and Resorts is looking ahead to a busy year with as many as 19 new hotels expected to open in 2022, altogether adding 3,812 rooms to its portfolio. Another 21 hotels with 3,635 rooms are to open in 2023, followed by 14 hotels with 2,297 rooms in 2024 and 10 hotels with 1,895 rooms in 2025 and beyond.

Of these openings, 19 hotels are opening in Asia Pacific, 16 properties are making their debut in Africa and 11 hotels are opening in Europe. Seven hotels are opening in the Middle East, six are opening in North America and five are to open in South America.

The most prominent countries for Radisson Hotels and Resorts are India with 10 forthcoming hotels comprising a total of 1,360 rooms, the USA with four hotels comprising 804 rooms and China with three hotels encompassing 669 rooms combined.

Exciting new hotels in Asia

Standout properties within the brand’s pipeline include the early-2023-opening Radisson Phuket Mai Khao Beach in Thailand and the late-2022-opening Radisson Hotel Quang Binh in Vietnam.

The 222-room Radisson Phuket Mai Khao Beach will place guests on Phuket island’s northwest shore, just 15 minutes from Phuket International Airport, and provide direct access to Mai Khao Beach.

This property’s spacious rooms and suites, including some with private pools, will be joined by a large outdoor lagoon pool, dining options including an all-day dining venue, specialty restaurant and a lobby lounge, as well as a fitness centre, kids’ club and space for meetings and events.

The 160-room Radisson Hotel Quang Binh will then provide a new place to stay in the capital of Quang Binh province, Dong Hoi, on Vietnam’s north-central coast, 266km to the north of Danang.

This property comprising a restaurant, lobby lounge, swimming pool, fitness centre, meeting space and a ballroom will provide a base for visiting this region’s beaches and Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park home to the world’s largest cave, Son Doong.
