Brand overview: Hampton by Hilton to grow by over 16,000 rooms worldwide [Construction Report]

With 16,773 new rooms in the pipeline, Hampton by Hilton is steadily growing Hilton’s upper-midscale offering around the world.

With a pipeline of 118 properties and 16,773 rooms, Hilton’s upper-midscale Hampton by Hilton brand is set to expand steadily in the coming years.

The TOPHOTELPROJECTS database reveals where the brand’s main growth markets are and which properties to take note of.

Growth in familiar markets

With Hilton being headquartered in the United States, it’s not surprising that Hampton’s main growth region is North America with 57 new properties due to add 7,000 rooms to the market.

Europe comes in second place and will see 41 new hotels with 6,926 rooms. South America will follow with 10 launches and 1,171 rooms. The Middle East, Asia Pacific and Africa will get 5, 4 and 1 hotels respectively.

When looking at the most ambitious national hotel markets Hampton by Hilton is expanding in, the United States is far in the lead with 49 planned openings and 5,900 rooms. The United Kingdom follows in a rather distant second place with 15 projects and 2,496 rooms. Germany comes in third with 10 properties while Mexico and Russia close out the top five with 5 and 4 new hotels each.

A busy year lies ahead

Hampton is still planning on launching another 16 hotels before the end of 2019 but 2020 is when things will get busy. 46 new properties are set to open next year, adding 6,251 rooms to the brand’s portfolio.

2021 already has a pipeline of 27 hotels with 4,294 rooms and another 9 are set to open in 2022. For 2023 and beyond 20 properties are already signed off.

Hampton by Hilton’s top projects

The largest project the brand is currently working on, is the 333-key Hampton by Hilton Paris Chevilly Larue slated to launch in early 2021. Set on the outskirts of Paris, the elegant new-build will have eight floors of guest rooms and offer modern conference and meeting facilities for business event.

The town of San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina will see the Hampton by Hilton Bariloche open by the end of the year. The 110-key property will welcome leisure and business guests to the area known for its excellent ski slopes and hiking trails.

Another interesting property will launch in the Polish town of Olsztyn. As part of the mixed-use Centaurus Complex, the Hampton by Hilton Olsztyn – Centaurus will bring 105 rooms to the city by early 2020. Apart from the hotel, the complex will include residential, office and function space.

A slightly larger property, the 192-room Hampton by Hilton Leeds City Center will open by the end of 2019. Set close to Victoria Gate shopping centre and the city’s emerging creative quarter, the hotel will attract both business and leisure guests.
