According to the TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database, Fairfield Inn & Suites is currently planning as many as 58 projects.

These 58 properties altogether encompassing 10,129 new rooms will place a particular focus on North America and Asia Pacific brand growth.

Future expansion

Fairfield Inn & Suites is looking ahead to significant expansion over the next few years with 18 properties with 2,340 rooms between them expected to open in 2022 and 17 projects with 4,925 rooms to launch in 2023.

Two properties with a total of 336 rooms are expected to launch in 2024 and 21 sites with 2,528 rooms altogether are opening in 2025 and beyond.

North America will see the most brand growth, with 31 projects encompassing 3,510 rooms in that region. Another 25 projects with 3,869 rooms altogether are on track to opening in Asia Pacific.

The brand portfolio will then be enhanced with one 2,600-room project in the Middle East and a 150-room property in Europe.

The countries seeing the most brand growth are then the United States with 29 properties and Japan with 12 projects on the horizon, followed by China with 10 properties in the making.

New properties for business and leisure

Highlights of this brand growth include the late 2022 opening Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh and the second quarter of 2023 opening Fairfield Inn & Suites Alpharetta.

The new-build, 90-room Fairfield by Marriott Phnom Penh will provide a new place to stay on a prime section of Russian Boulevard, which is within the administrative centre of the city, close to corporate, diplomatic and tourist sites.

Amenities within this property owned by Royal Field Development Company Limited and designed by Aedas-Singapore are to include a restaurant serving local and international dishes and a well-equipped fitness centre.

The property will be a part of a 45-storey mixed-use development also comprising offices, a shopping mall, cinema and sky bar.

The 166-key Fairfield Inn & Suites Alpharetta will then feature amenities such as a fitness room, bike racks and electric vehicle charging stations within its six-acre lot and five storeys.

The property is designed by Elevate Architecture Studio and located on Webb Bridge Road, placing guests just minutes from downtown Alpharetta and less than a mile from Avalon.
