The five-star brand is heightening its global presence with an influx of new properties across Europe and North America in particular.

The brand known for upscale hotels that stand out for their individuality has 11 properties on track to making their debut in the USA alone.

Worldwide growth

Curio Collection by Hilton is expanding its worldwide hotel portfolio over the coming years. The brand currently has 43 projects, with 7,595 rooms between them, at different stages of planning and development across the globe.

Of these projects, 18 hotels are in North America and 14 hotels are in Europe. Asia Pacific will welcome five new Curio Collection properties, the Middle East will welcome four of the brand’s properties and South America will welcome two new Curio Collection hotels.

The countries seeing the most Curio Collection openings are the United States, with its 11 arrivals comprising 2,667 rooms, along with China, which has three hotels comprising 600 rooms set to debut. France will also welcome three of the brand’s new hotels, comprising a total of 284 rooms.

The brand expects to open 15 of the 43 hotels in 2022. Another 14 hotels are expected to debut in 2023, followed by four hotel openings in 2024 and another 10 hotel debuts in 2025 and beyond.

Coastal and urban arrivals

Highlights of these openings include the soon-to-open Kailani, Curio Collection by Hilton and 2024 opening Curio by Hilton Toronto Distillery District.

Planned for debut in the second quarter of 2022, the new-build Kailani, Curio Collection by Hilton will place guests on the beachfront at the edge of George Town.

The 80-key property will come with spacious one- to three-bedroom suites with energy-efficient technology, in-room yoga mats and fitness equipment, as well as lighting that regulates circadian rhythm. Executive and penthouse suites will also come with private pools.

The hotel will feature two farm-to-table restaurants and a poolside cafe offering local seafood alongside other fresh produce, organic wines and craft cocktails. Other standout amenities are to include conference facilities, a gym, spa and swimming pool with swim-up bar. Guests will be able to rent electric vehicles and have complimentary use of bicycles.

Over in Canada, Curio by Hilton Toronto Distillery District will open in 2024 with 392 rooms and an array of facilities spanning 31 storeys. The hotel takes over a site in which a preserved heritage building makes up the first three floors.

This hotel paying homage to the site’s history as a 1890-built rack house, previously used to store barrels as a part of the city’s Distillery District, will feature new social venues for both guests and locals, including a rooftop bar and restaurant with impressive views.
