Bedouin-inspired 25hours hotel to shake up Dubai in Q4 2021

Showcasing the work of Hopkins Architects, Woods Bagot and The Extra Hour Lab, 25hours Hotel One Central will weave ancient nomadic tales into a profoundly modern narrative.

The ultra-competitive Dubai hotel scene is preparing to welcome an exciting new addition, 25hours Hotel One Central, to its ranks.

Introducing 25hours to the Middle East

Scheduled to launch in Q4 2021, the first 25hours hotel in the Middle East will tell the region’s story through its innovative design, combining the timeless traditions of the Bedouins with a progressive and forward-thinking concept. This 434-key scheme is coming to the Dubai International Finance Centre, overlooking the Museum of the Future.

Christoph Hoffman, CEO of 25hours Hotels, said: “25hours Hotel One Central is the most exotic 25hours project I have experienced so far. From the beginning of this adventure, our aim was to create a new Dubai experience of hospitality.

“Actually, we want it to become the living room, the party cellar, the speakeasy, the romantic hideaway for lovers as well as the place for relaxed and creative business meetings, inspirational various spaces, a fun rooftop for visionary thoughts and views. A new home and playground for the local community and of course travellers from all over the world.“

An intriguing interior design vision

Hopkins Architects is overseeing the architecture of the scheme, while Woods Bagot is working closely with Hoffman and in-house creative unit The Extra Hour Lab on the interiors. 25hours Hotel One Central promises to use design to tell the story of the Bedouins, bringing their tales into a contemporary setting catering for well-travelled international guests.

Aleksandra Nastic, senior associate and interior design lead at Woods Bagot, explained: “Woods Bagot is proud to have had the opportunity and responsibility to fully design the interior of 25hours Hotel One Central. Storytelling was the foundation of creating this charming and soulful place. Reviving the story of ancient nomad travelers, our aim was to create a place with local ambience, which speaks to your heart easily and becomes your home naturally.”

Paint, pottery and podcasts

Operated by Accor, 25hours Hotel One Central will feature 174 Bedouin rooms, 178 Glamping rooms, 60 Farmstay rooms, 19 Artist Village rooms, two Artist Village suites and one Hakawati suite. There’ll also be a co-working area with modern open pantry concept, paint and pottery studio, podcast recording room, outdoor cinema, 25hours shop, Fountain of Tales library, spa, hair salon and pool.

In terms of F&B, the scheme is to include Ernst, a traditional Bavarian beer garden (420 seats); Tandoor Tina, serving northern Indian cuisine with a British twist (295 seats); Nomad Day Bar by Nightjar Coffee (124 seats); cocktail den Monkey Bar (152 seats); and a further restaurant still to be determined (153 seats).

The hotel’s general manager is Jean-Francois Brun.
