BD Contract Division has recently furnished The Barcelona Edition by Ian Schrager with some of their most iconic designs by Antoni Gaudí, Salvador Dalí and Oscar Tusquets.

Ian Schrager, founder of the legendary Studio 54, landed in Spain with The Barcelona Edition. The author of the interior design, Lázaro Rosa-Violán, unites in a subtle synergy the integrity and historical character of the environment with a simple and sophisticated design sensibility, creating a perfect blend of charisma and comfort.

Ian Schrager began to revolutionise the world of hotels at the end of the last century, led by Philippe Starck. BD participated in its furnishing from the beginning, in projects as relevant as the Hudson in New York, Clift in San Francisco, Delano in Miami or St Martins Lane in London. There are, among others, designs by Salvador Dalí that BD produces exclusively worldwide.

The famous American promoter recently landed in the Catalan capital, next to the Santa Catalina Market, to open The Barcelona Edition, this time projected by local creators, inside a building built by Carlos Ferrater and with interior design by Lázaro Rosa-Violán.

An ideal setting for Dalí’s designs to continue to take centre stage in the hall, along with Antoni Gaudí’s modernist furniture awaiting the arrival of customers at the reception. For the rooms, they have chosen another classic, although more contemporary, the Gaulino chair and armchair, designed by Oscar Tusquets.

This project has been equipped by BD Contract Division, the line of BD Barcelona Design dedicated to furnishing hotels, restaurants and large facilities around the world.

Bd Barcelona Design is the Spanish company with the highest international prestige in design. It was founded in 1972 as Bd Ediciones de Diseño by the architects and interior designers Pep Bonet, Cristian Cirici, Lluis Clotet, Mireia Riera and Oscar Tusquets.
