Virginia-headquartered hospitality giant Hilton Worldwide is celebrating its entry into Bahrain with the launch of a 192-key hotel boasting impressive views of the capital Manama.
The new Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay further strengthens the country’s accommodation offering for both business and leisure travellers.
Hilton jets into Bahrain
Hilton Worldwide’s first property in Bahrain, Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay is located in Manama, only a 15-minute drive from the international airport. The property also provides guests with a direct connection to new retail and leisure complex Avenues Mall, and is within easy reach of cultural and historic highlights like Bahrain National Theatre, Bahrain National Museum and the Manama Souq.
“As Hilton Garden Inn continues to expand, boasting more than 900 properties around the world, we’re thrilled to be the first Hilton-branded hotel to open in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said Alan Roberts, global head of Hilton Garden Inn. “We couldn’t dream of a more idyllic location for this property, overlooking the beautiful Bahrain Bay and Manama skyline, and we’re delighted to bring our world-class hospitality to this part of the world.”
Wellbeing by the sea
The hotel boasts 192 guestrooms, including 35 suites, each featuring stunning views out across Bahrain Bay and its glittering blue waters. The sea is also referenced in the design, which focuses on creating a sense of wellbeing and natural calm.
Interestingly, the interior decor of the rooms is inspired by nature’s palette, with an abundance of earthy and maritime tones. Moreover, 70% of the guestrooms are Confirmed Connecting Rooms, making them ideal for families and larger groups.
Manuela Brode, general manager at Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay, said: “We found it essential to incorporate an added sense of wellbeing in the design of our spaces, reflecting the kingdom’s vast history of pearling and deep-rooted ties to the sea through our choice of soothing sea-inspired hues and colour palettes.”
Hilton Garden Inn Bahrain Bay’s key amenities include flexible meeting facilities, a fitness centre, an infinity pool, a Jacuzzi and the Together&Co restaurant.
