Serviced apartment sector specialist The Ascott has signed another property in Vietnam, making the tenth signing in the country so far this year.

Ascott West Hanoi will be delivered in partnership with SIMCO Group, a first collaboration with the local conglomerate. The project will include 220 apartments within a single tower, being a mix of one bed up to four bedroom units designed to accommodate the long stay needs of a wide variety of travellers, teams and families. This is SIMCO’s first move into luxury hospitality, with a planned completion date of early 2030.

Building Momentum Across Vietnam

This will be the second property in Hanoi signed into the pipeline during 2026. Earlier The Ascott signed a property to its Crest Collection brand. Diamond Crown Westlake by The Crest Collection will feature a similar mix of residences with one to four bedrooms, along with suites and duplexes, and will be the debut in north Vietnam for the brand.

The Ascott signed five of the latest management agreements with partner Sun Group, while also attracting new developers to its brands, alongside SIMCO. “Our flex-hybrid model gives us the versatility to capture rising demand through asset-light growth,” said Kevin Goh, CEO at Ascott. “Property owners value that our platform can serve both long and short stays, and operate formats as diverse as serviced residences, hotels, resorts and social living properties.”

In Phu Quoc, the group will add three properties. A Harris branded block will have 574 units, alongside an Ascott branded hotel with 385 units, and a Lyf property with 441 rooms.

Not all the additions are in urban settings. Somerset Non Nuoc Da Nang Resort, with 549 apartments and villas, will be located on the country’s central coast, with the development including a beach club, pools and variety of dining options. And Citadines Quy Nhon Resort will contribute to the vibrancy of a new city destination, while offering travellers a beachfront setting too.

The Oakwood brand is also expanding in Vietnam. Oakwood Thao Dien Ho Chi Minh City will have a mix of 365 studios, apartments and penthouses, in a block that will include dining choices, and corporate meeting rooms.

Coastal Resorts and Urban Oases

Currently, the group operates 16 properties across seven cities in Vietnam, It recently opened Lasong Hotel & Villas Sam Son by The Unlimited Collection, on the country’s northern coast. Upcoming shortly will be Ascott Tay Ho Hanoi, a massive project ultimately featuring 1,165 rooms and no less than ten food and beverage outlets. It will sit alongside a wedding and convention centre, capturing peak demand from major events.

Also in the openings schedule for the next year is Harris Resort Cam Ranh, which will launch on Cam Ranh’s Long Beach in early 2027. Holiday makers will enjoy a beach club, and a choice of dining. Another beach side property, Citadines Selavia Phu Quoc will open later in the year, timed to provide accommodation for delegates to the APEC summit taking place in November 2027.
