Artista San Antonio earmarked for Morgans Originals brand

French hospitality giant Accor will manage and operate the forthcoming Artista San Antonio, featuring architecture from Kris Feldmann’s firm Creo, under the Morgans Originals brand.
This eye-catching Texan scheme, built around a concept that offers the best in food, mixology, design and atmosphere, has taken a major step forward.
A new lifestyle hub for San Antonio
Accor has announced a strategic agreement with San Antonio-based developer Harris Bay to manage and operate the 112-key property in the city’s Riverwalk area under the exclusive Morgans Original flag. The project promises to celebrate the city’s culture and diversity, giving a fresh perspective on the lifestyle boutique hotel experience and catering for local residents as well as explorers, digital nomads and business travellers.
“We are very proud to work with San Antonio developer Harris Bay and its managing partner, Jake Harris, and the terrific architects at Creo to bring Artista to San Antonio,” said Chadi Farhat, chief operating officer of SBE. “San Antonio is re-emerging as a premier destination and has been one of the United States’ undiscovered gems of culture and diversity for too long. Rich in history, San Antonio is a 300-year-old Spanish colonial city and we are excited to celebrate that culture on the Riverwalk at Artista San Antonio.”
Jake Harris, managing partner of Harris Bay, added: “We spent a lot of time selecting the right operator to partner with us and bring this vision to the Riverwalk in San Antonio. SBE and Accor really have been some of the pioneers of the hip modern lifestyle boutique hotel space and with such a strong F&B operation. We are excited to see San Antonio continue to grow in its international appeal.”
Inspirational design and local artwork
Kris Feldmann’s Creo is leading the project’s architectural design, working in collaboration with an interior design team that’ll be revealed soon.
The property will embrace inspirational modern design with references to San Antonio’s Spanish colonial roots and artwork, with a strong South and Central American flavour. Heightening travellers’ connection to this vibrant artistic community, the hotel will give guests access to limited-edition prints and other custom creations.
On top of this, the hotel will incorporate Morgans Originals’ signature restaurant and bar concepts, along with over 2,500 sq ft of event space.
On opening in July 2023, Artista San Antonio will join the recently announced Legacy Hotels & Residences in Miami and three existing Morgans Originals properties: Sanderson London, St Martins Lane London and Shore Club Miami.
