Hospitality design experts Ara lend their mastery to the interiors of Israel’s Mitzpe Hayamim hotel.

Isrotel’s Mitzpe Hayamim has opened its doors to the public, following the completion of its interior design concept by international hotel designer Ara.

Leaders in the field of hospitality design, Ara combined local flourishes with understated elegance for this hotel and spa. We find out more.

Stunning design in a stunning setting

Isrotel’s Mitzpe Hayamim Spa Hotel can not only boast an incredible setting overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the stunning Golan Heights, but it now also bears the distinction of having interiors designed by one of the biggest names in hospitality, Ara Design. Ara has been in the business of crafting high-end hotel interiors for over 20 years, and these two decades of experience really show.

From the overall interior concept down to the finer details, no stone is left unturned when it comes to creating bespoke interiors for some of the world’s most coveted hotels, and the result of the Mitzpe Hayamim is no different.

This spa hotel sits on a 37-acre site, and Ara is responsible for fitting out each of its 96 well-appointed guest rooms, as well as the reception and lobby, the common areas, bars, restaurants, lounges and the swimming pool.

Ara’s design features guest rooms that have a domestic feel in terms of the plush fabrics and colour palette used, while the bathrooms make great use of local tiles in terms of adding texture and warmth. Exposed stonework is the backdrop for the lounge area, and the swimming pool has a retractable roof so guests can feel like they’re outdoors.

Features and amenities

The Mitzpe Hayamim Spa Hotel boasts many special features, including an organic on-site farm, orchard and herb garden, whose produce is used in the vegetarian restaurant. Gourmet meals give guests a chance to sample the taste of Israel, with local fare prepared daily and on request.

The scent of Jasmine flows throughout the property, and the state-of-the-art spa is perhaps the highlight of the hotel. Their website sums it up by saying, “The Mitzpe Hayamim experience will return everything that has been lost in the daily grind. A tempting combination of nature, simplicity and a feeling that takes you back to basics, while being lush, luxurious and incredibly pampering. A delightful break, that lets your body rediscover its natural pace and be filled with the energy of renewal.”

Isrotel Ltd. operates a chain of hotels in Israel. It operates various hotels in Eilat, Negev desert, and Tel Aviv, as well as on the shores of Dead Sea; and a spa resort in Haifa.
