Andaz heads to Nagoya: Hyatt plans first Chubu region hotel

Hyatt plans to open its first Andaz hotel in Nagoya after 2034 as part of a major redevelopment

Hyatt Hotels Corporation recently announced that a Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management agreement with Nagoya Railroad Co., Ltd. to develop a new Andaz hotel, scheduled to open after 2034 at Meitetsu Nagoya Station. The hotel will be part of a major redevelopment project that aims to transform the area into a new urban landmark, featuring a transportation hub and the introduction of a high-speed railway.

As a lifestyle luxury hotel that embraces local culture and high-quality experiences, we are confident that Andaz Nagoya will become a symbolic presence that enhances the city’s appeal and contributes to its continued growth as an international city.”

A new landmark hotel in Nagoya’s urban redevelopment

Andaz Nagoya will be the city’s first Andaz hotel and is envisioned by Nagoya Railroad as a symbol of Nagoya’s transformation—uniting innovation, design, and culture. The hotel will be part of a multi-use urban complex integrated with the new railway station and will feature a dedicated ground-floor entrance.

Joining the global Andaz family: Nagoya’s newest luxury hotel

Nagoya, one of Japan’s major metropolitan areas, sits strategically on the “Golden Route” between Tokyo and Osaka, accessible via the Tokaido Shinkansen and Chubu Centrair Airport.
