Amano Group outlines vision for trailblazing boutique lifestyle hotel

Ariel Schiff, co-founder of Amano Group, has vowed to bring “a taste of Berlin to London” when the hospitality company’s first hotel outside Germany opens in spring 2022.
The UK capital, one of the world’s most competitive hospitality markets, is eagerly awaiting the arrival of an ambitious import from Germany.
Amano Group ventures overseas
Set to occupy a 1980s office block known as Drury House on Drury Lane, Hotel Amano Covent Garden is gearing up to open in spring 2022. This new boutique lifestyle hotel will be the first overseas outpost for Amano Group, which currently has eight hotels in Berlin as well as one apiece in Munich and Düsseldorf.
Ariel Schiff, co-founder of Amano Group, said: “As a Berlin-based company, opening our first international property in London was always a natural step for us. Like Berlin, London is a dynamic city known for its thriving nightlife and multicultural community.
“We felt the spirit of the Amano brand would blend in well here. We’re excited to offer guests a unique hotel and leisure experience, bringing a taste of Berlin to London.”
Sophisticated urban living
Amano hotels aim to offer sophisticated urban living experiences in central locations at a fair price. Unafraid to be different, they stand out from the crowd thanks to their distinctive design and immersive F&B programmes.
Hotel Amano Covent Garden will feature three room categories (cosy, comfy and roomy), as well as a restaurant, basement bar, sky bar and roof terrace with outstanding views of the city, accompanied by DJs spinning tracks at the weekend. The lead architect and interior designer for the project is Woods Bagot, which is overseeing a scheme characterised by dark, moody tones.
The TOPHOTELPROJECTS construction database is currently following several Amano Group schemes across Europe. Besides Hotel Amano Covent Garden, it’s also tracking the progress of Amano Hotel Leipzig, Amano Hotel Munich and Amano Hotel Hamburg.
