Housed in Manhattan’s iconic Crown Building and designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston, Aman New York is preparing to welcome guests from the spring of 2021 onwards.

Amid feverish anticipation, Aman will soon lift the lid on its spectacular New York outpost.

The first urban Aman Residences

Situated within Manhattan’s century-old Crown Building, overlooking Central Park, this eye-catching hospitality development includes both a hotel and the first urban Aman Residences worldwide. At the latter, owners will have a private entrance to the Aman Spa, 24/7 lifestyle management and concierge services, access to the hotel’s dining venues and a lifetime membership to the Aman Club.

The scheme comprises 83 guestrooms and suites – which start at 70 sq m – and 22 private branded residences. Aman New York has been designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston who took his cues from the Crown Building’s architecture, with subtle nods to the brand’s Asian heritage.

In each of the guestrooms, there’ll be a working fireplace, while the residences – including a five-storey penthouse – will have spacious outdoor terraces, some with heated pools.

A sprawling wellness offering

The hotel will have a subterranean Jazz Bar, a Wine Library, Arva – a convivial Italian restaurant – and Nama – a modern interpretation of Japan’s washoku dining tradition.

The property’s highlight, however, will undoubtedly be the sprawling 2,300 sq m spa. Set over three floors, with a dramatic 20-metre pool, this wellness spot will only open to guests and Aman Club members, and is sure to provide a welcome haven from New York’s dynamic hustle and bustle.

Aman opens doors to discovery, pursuing the limits of cultural enlightenment and pioneering experiences in locations both remote and urban.
