Preferred Hotels & Resorts has added ten more properties to its global portfolio, further broadening the choice for guests who like to use its platform to reserve a stay in some of the world’s best independent hotels.
Between September 2024 and into 2025, there are ten additions. They are divided across the different segments covered by the Preferred programme, which are named to make choosing a stay easier. Of these, the most luxurious is the Legend Collection, reserved for the most remarkable destinations.
Collections to suit every style and pocket
The LVX collection promises upscale hotel luxury, combined with local flair. Properties in the Lifestyle collection offer approachable luxury; while Preferred Residences is the platform for those looking to rent a large home for a family or private party to stay.
“We are excited to unveil these highly anticipated new openings, including two standout properties joining our prestigious Legend Collection, which represents the pinnacle of ultra-luxury hospitality,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, CEO of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. “We can’t wait to invite travellers to explore new corners of the world and discover unique experiences through our newest properties.”
Five of the listed properties have already opened. These include Pendry Natirar, a 66 room Tudor style mansion just outside New York, a resort set in 500 acres of woodland and rolling hills, which has joined the LVX Collection. In the south of France, Maison Albar – Le Victoria is in the old town area of Nice, featuring luxuries including a marble pool, hot tubs and sauna. Its 132 rooms can now be booked via Preferred Hotels. Further afield is the Villa Dahlia in Stockholm, and the Dusit Thani Bangkok, a 257 room hotel that has recently undergone a stunning transformation.
Joining the Legend Collection are the Peter Island Resort on Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands. The 52 room resort relaunched in December 2024, following a complete makeover and includes an infinity pool, spa and hot tub in the open air overlooking Big Reef Bay. The island itself delivers five beaches, and acres of lush tropical vegetation to be explored and enjoyed.
A new London destination
Also joining the collection at launch in summer 2025 will be The Newman, a contemporary hotel in London that will offer 81 rooms and suites, with refined style and an extensive wellness floor with hot and cold cabins, a salt therapy room and sauna. The hotel will be the first launched by new company Kinsfolk & Co, which is a coming together of a group of seasoned hospitality professionals, aiming to deliver the ultimate in luxury lifestyle hotels in key international city destinations.
Joining the LVX Collection are new properties in Crete, Tenerife and Malta. The Greek resort of Oros is within the White Mountains of western Crete, providing great views for guests as well as access to a sandy beach, and pools both for families, and for adults only. On Malta, the Romegas hotel in Valletta is crafted within a 500 year old palazzo, origninally built for a Maltese knight. Modern amenities include a rooftop pool, and destination restaurant.
