Accor has partnered with Global Premium Hotels Limited to debut its Handwritten Collection brand in Singapore.

The 194-key Hotel Faber Park Singapore Handwritten Collection will open by the end of this year, becoming the line’s first site in southeast Asia.

Contemporary design

Mount Faber will become the setting for the Handwritten Collection’s inaugural hotel in Singapore.

The property will weave a tapestry of contemporary design alongside an array of amenities including a restaurant, lobby bar, and swimming pool.

Remarkable milestone

Garth Simmons, CEO of Accor’s premium, midscale and economy division in Asia, commented: “We are delighted to unveil the Handwritten Collection’s inaugural hotel in southeast Asia.

“This momentous occasion marks a remarkable milestone in Accor’s cherished partnership with Global Premium Hotels Limited and its related party. We fervently anticipate the privilege of immersing our guests in the unrivalled charm and personalised grace that the Handwritten Collection epitomises.”

Mountain inspiration

Accor has a longstanding strategic partnership with Global Premium Hotels Limited and its related party, operating 16 hotels in Singapore, five hotels in Australia, and two hotels in the UK under the MGallery, Mövenpick, Mercure, Novotel, ibis Styles and ibis budget brands.

Ko Lee Meng, CEO of Global Premium Hotels Limited, said: “The addition of this new hotel is a testament to our commitment in providing guests with a curated stay experience. The well-thought-out elegant design and layout from the lobby, restaurant to each room is inspired by the foothills of Mount Faber Park (one of the oldest in Singapore) which surrounds the hotel. Here, guests have arrived at a piece of Singapore’s history.”

New property search

The Handwritten Collection brand, launched by Accor in January 2023, comprises bespoke hotels that offer an intimate and stylish hospitality experience.

With a plan to grow the portfolio to 250 properties by 2030, Accor is actively seeking new properties to be part of the collection in popular travel destinations across the world. Elsewhere in Asia, the pipeline includes Andaman Beach Hotel Phuket – Handwritten Collection, a 161-key site due to open in Thailand shortly after the Singaporean property and Sunrise Premium Resort, Handwritten Collection, scheduled to appear in Vietnam’s Hoi An in Q2 2024.
