The first property for Accor’s prolific midscale brand in Greece, Mercure Rhodes Alexia is a welcome addition to the hospitality scene on the historic island of Rhodes.
This stylish and sophisticated property mixes the best of island life with the conveniences of a city retreat.
Aegean dreams for Accor
Mercure Rhodes Alexia, the Mercure brand’s first outpost in Greece, is located in an idyllic spot on the northern tip of Rhodes. Although positioned as a city retreat, it benefits from having Niochori beach just 50 m away, giving guests the best of both worlds.
Jerome Lassara, development director for Accor in Southern Europe, said: “Accor is delighted to welcome Mercure Rhodes Alexia as the newest destination in our ever-expanding portfolio. With its stunning environment and long history of refined hospitality, Greece is a clear and strategic location for group expansion. We look forward to what is set to be a positive and dynamic venture.”
The allure of Mercure
Mercure Rhodes Alexia has 136 guestrooms, most of which enjoy expansive sea views. The hotel is a calm and peaceful base from which to explore the surroundings – including local highlights such as the castle in the old town, Mandraki Port and the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights – while daytrips to Symi Island and Kalithea Springs can be organised through the concierge.
There are various amenities onsite, such as a state-of-the-art spa and two restaurants showcasing the best local cuisine.
Maria-Anna Soulounias, owner and CEO of Mercure Rhodes Alexia, said: “It’s a great honour to be joining forces with the Accor group under the Mercure brand. We are delighted to welcome travellers to Mercure Rhodes Alexia, a unique heaven on the island of Rhodes. Our entire corporate family of Nikolaos Soulounias is excited to embark on this new journey, ready to show the world the true meaning of authentic island hospitality.”
