Accor and its lifestyle division Ennismore have signed for three Vietnamese hotels with TNG Holdings Vietnam Group.

Accor will introduce Swissôtel Hai Phong Riverfront and Grand Mercure Phu Yen Boulevard Centre to the Vietnam network, while Ennismore will welcome its first property to Vietnam, Hyde Danang Centre.

Trio particulars

Debuting the Swissôtel brand in Vietnam, Swissôtel Hai Phong Riverfront will take inspiration from the brand’s Swiss roots, offering a range of revitalising concepts centred around craftsmanship, sustainability and vitality.

Grand Mercure Phu Yen Boulevard Centre will be situated in the South Central province of Vietnam. Since its debut in the Asia Pacific region almost 20 years ago, the Grand Mercure Hotels and Resorts network today consists of more than 50 hotels that embrace local cultural traditions, cuisine and design.

Hyde Danang Centre will boast an iconic presence in the Danang skyline for visitors entering the city from the Dragon Bridge. The DNA of every Hyde property is consistent, but each property is designed with its location in mind, ensuring that no two Hydes are exactly alike.

Emerging lifestyle

Garth Simmons, CEO, Accor Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, said: “We are delighted to announce the signing with TNG to introduce three new hotels in Vietnam. This milestone aligns perfectly with our strategy to develop lifestyle hotels in emerging destinations.

“Hyde Danang Centre will distinguish itself in the tourism capital of South-Central Vietnam with a new kind of hospitality, grounded in the spirit of discovery. Grand Mercure Phu Yen Boulevard Centre is set to capture the untouched beautiful scenery, idyllic islands and marvellous stone cliffs of Phu Yen while Swissôtel Hai Phong Riverfront will be a vibrant hub for the commercial and industrial centre of Northern Vietnam.”

Concept introduction

Phil Zrihen, chief operating officer of Hyde at Ennismore, added: “We are thrilled to introduce a new Hyde property in Asia. This property will be a remarkable way for the brand to expand within the market, with the introduction of both a hotel concept and residential experience in the centre of Danang. Most importantly, the property will become a destination for both global travellers and discerning locals. It is an incredible next step for the evolution of this legendary entertainment and nightlife brand that was born on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles in 2005.”

Accor has 39 hotels currently operating in Vietnam with 50 projects in the pipeline including the 320-room Pullman Hai Phong, the 143-key Movenpick Hotel & Residences Han River Danang and Fairmont Phu Quoc Resorts & Residences, bringing 230 rooms to the popular tourist island.
