The latest opening in Riga, the Latvian capital, will join a growing portfolio of hotels from the design-led Accor TRIBE brand.
TRIBE Riga City is located in the Art Nouveau district of Riga city centre. The new hotel is an 81-key property with rooms featuring either city or courtyard views.
TRIBE Riga City Centre rooms offers a number of features, including a rain shower, personal steamer in each room and products from Australian haircare label Kevin Murphy in the bathrooms.
The hotel is located only 9km away from Riga International Airport and offers convenient access to public transport in the city. Rooms are also pet friendly upon request.
Philippe Bijaoui, Chief Development Officer Europe North Africa for Accor’s Premium, Midscale & Economy division commented: “TRIBE is a brand with incredible potential, particularly in Europe. There is a big market for travellers who crave stylish and modern hotels, giving them more for less.”
A community-focused stay
“It’s a great example of what we are doing across our portfolio to make our hotels community hubs that appeal to those in the local neighbourhood, as much as those visiting from afar; and that strategy will bring huge benefits for owners in terms of ancillary revenues and the value of their assets, alongside breaking the glass ceiling for rates within the midscale brands,” he added.
“TRIBE Riga City Centre is a testament to our commitment to bring international lifestyle trends and energy, reaching diverse travellers from Latvia, Europe and far beyond: professionals, creatives, urban explorers and digital nomads who seek hotels with intelligent, functional, design-driven spaces at a fair price in must-visit destinations worldwide. We believe this new hotel will win the hearts of guests as well as the local neighbourhood with its unique offer and vibe” said Pauline Oster, TRIBE’s Vice President at Accor Europe & North Africa.
Each hotel is home to a communal Social Hub, suiting the needs of remote workers as well as those looking for a place to switch off, with a coffee and cocktail bar plus a 24-hour Grab & Go counter, plus a variety of TRIBE table restaurant concepts.
A bright future for TRIBE
Some of the upcoming TRIBE openings in Europe include TRIBE Paris Clichy and TRIBE Paris Pantis, in addition to TRIBE Manchester Airport and TRIBE Dusseldorf later in the year. Other openings in the pipeline beyond 2024 include TRIBE Budapest Airport and TRIBE Krakow Stare Miasto in 2025 and TRIBE Mainz in 2026.
TRIBE was founded in 2017 in Australia, and the latest addition in Latvia will build on a growing portfolio of more than 15 hotels from Perth and Bangkok to London and Paris, from the famous Kuta beach in Bali to the spa town of Baden-Baden in Germany and now Riga.
The brand is set to continue its growth trajectory, with a pipeline of over 40 hotels expected to open within the next five years, with three quarters of these projects based in Europe.
