Accor is ready to welcome its latest United Arab Emirates (UAE) property as it pursues expansion in the Middle Eastern country.

The group is about to open its fifth Rixos hotel in the UAE, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, taking its national site count to 73 properties and 23,512 keys.

Active pipeline

Currently, Accor has 19 UAE properties comprising 5,619 rooms in its pipeline. Eight high end projects from this total are currently listed in the TOPHOTELPROJECTS database.

Coming online in Q1 next year is So/ Uptown Dubai. This 188 key-site will have guestrooms and residences in uptown Dubai’s first super-tall tower. The same Emirate will welcome MGallery by Sofitel Dubai Business Bay in 2025, adding a further 144 rooms to the Accor group portfolio.

Arabian and Turkish fusion

In the meantime, Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi will offer a fusion of Arabian and Turkish dining and hospitality in the UAE. The resort will boast expansive food and beverage offerings with restaurants, lounges, bars and food trucks.

Leisure and recreation facilities include an entertainment square, a beach club, a VIP pier bar and lounge, a spray action pool and a kid’s pool, a spa featuring a Turkish hammam and a teenager’s club featuring a private cinema. An outdoor recreation area will offer a wellness bar and outdoor gym facilities, including state-of-the-art exercise equipment and a studio for aerobics, yoga and private fitness sessions. More than 2,800 sq m of meeting space, including a 1,250 sq m ballroom divisible into four rooms, is also provided.
